Count the reels. Stop at the number you chose.
Snapout counts the Reels and Shorts you watch, pauses you every few, and blocks the apps you pick. You stay in charge. It just makes the scroll visible.
Free to install, no ads, for Android 8 or newer.
5 reels watched. Still going?
Take a breath. 3s
Stopped.
That is the whole idea. You chose where it ended.
A demo with made-up reels. The real counter appears over Instagram, YouTube and Facebook.
A pause, not a wall.
Hard blocks get switched off. So Snapout stops the scroll for a few seconds and hands the decision back to you.
Every few reels (you choose how many) the screen stops on a short thought. A bar drains while you take a breath, then your choices unlock: a few more reels, skip the pauses until you reopen the app, or go home.
The counter is a small pill in the corner. It only appears while Reels or Shorts are on screen, and it knows when you swipe back to a reel you already saw, so it does not count twice.
Four ways to limit an app.
Pick an app, then pick how it behaves. Quick setup does Instagram, YouTube and Facebook in one tap.
- Ask first
- Opening the app asks how long you will use it, after a short wait. When the time is up it asks again.
- Daily limit
- The app is free to use until you reach your limit for the day.
- Focus only
- Blocked during focus sessions and the schedules you set for study or work.
- Always
- Blocked whenever blocking is on.
Start a timer. Close the ring.
Set a daily focus goal and start a session in one tap. The apps you chose stay blocked until it ends. The ring is open until you reach your goal, then it closes.
Streaks, a seven-day chart, schedules for the hours you study or work, and a home-screen widget. Nothing leaves your phone.
It stays on your phone.
A tool for your attention should not be watching you back.
- No account. Open it and use it.
- No ads, no tracking tools. Nothing is sold or shared.
- Nothing is uploaded. Your rules, sessions and reel counts live in the app's private storage.
- Delete everything in Settings, Delete my data. Uninstalling removes it too.
Permissions, explained.
Snapout asks before it needs each one, and says why. You can take any back at any time.
- Usage access
- Tells Snapout which app is open and for how long. It is how blocking and daily limits know when to act.
- Display over other apps
- Lets Snapout draw the block and pause screens on top of an app.
- Accessibility, only if you turn on reels or websites
- Used to notice when Reels or Shorts are open, count them from numbers such as the like count, and read the browser address bar for sites you chose to block. It only listens to a short list of apps. It does not record what you type and does not save what it reads.
- Notification access, only if you silence notifications
- Hides notifications from the apps you blocked. Messages, email, banking and one-time codes are never stored.
Snapout never blocks the phone dialer, emergency calling, your home screen or Android Settings.
Free does the main job.
The reel counter and the pause are free, and stay free.

Questions.
Does it work on iPhone?
No. Snapout is for Android 8.0 and newer.
Will it always catch every reel?
Not always, and we will not claim it does. Counting reads what Instagram, YouTube and Facebook show on screen, and those apps change often. When one changes, the counter can miss or double count until we update. Blocking a whole app does not depend on this.
Can it lock me out of my phone?
No. It never blocks calls, emergency calling, the home screen or Settings. Strict Mode has an emergency exit after a short wait, and you can always uninstall.
Why does it need the Accessibility service?
Only the reel counter and website blocking need it, and only for a short list of apps. Without it, app blocking, limits, sessions and schedules all still work.
Is Snapout connected to Instagram, YouTube or Facebook?
No. It is an independent app and those names belong to their owners.
I bought Pro and it did not unlock.
Open Settings, Snapout Pro, then Restore purchases. If that does not work, see Support.
Take the hour back.
Free to install, set up in about a minute, and nothing leaves your phone.
